ToggleBlok helps companies gain 14001 Environmental Management System ‘EMS’

All businesses operating to ISO14001 need to implement an EMS which will address fire water containment planning. We have worked with many manufacturing companies in all sectors that are looking to develop a fire water containment policy. Initially clients often start with a simple Drainblok™ system costing a few hundred pounds. As they develop their policy we support them in delivering fully automated Toggleblok™ systems linked to a full site maintenance plan.
Industrial Flooring Company.

The client uses chemical in the process of manufacturing industrial resin floors. The chemicals are unloaded by forklifts into a bunded stores area. During loading and movement of stock a spillage occurred resulting in a pollution release into the surface water drainage. As part of the sites continual ISO14001 environmental policy, the site complete an internal review of procedures.
The review highlighted a need to install a method of containing a 1000ltr IBC spillage.

We were asked by the client to design a solution that could be installed into the existing drainage to shut off the final discharge. Additionally the site wanted a containment valve that would activate as a result of the fire alarm sounding for more than 30 seconds.

We designed and installed a 150mm Toggleblok™ valve system utilising solar power removing the need for any site services. The valve controller was subsequently wired into the fire alarm system by the client.
