Water Pollution Containment Device

Designed and manufactured exclusively by Sandfield Penstock Solutions the ToggleBlok Valve is the world’s leading Automated Pollution Containment Device. The ToggleBlok Valve has been purposely developed as a completely stand-alone, solar powered, GSM connected, smart pollution prevention device which closes and stops the flow of pollutant materials within seconds of activation without the need for mains services or heavy plant to install.

The ToggleBlok Pollution Containment device is available as an off the shelf product or Sandfield Penstock Solutions will work with you to design and implement a pollution containment system to meet your specific risk and the individual requirements of your site.

Water Pollution Prevention Services

Sandfield Penstock Solutions have developed a range of services to assist customers in overcoming their water pollution challenges including:

Sandfield Penstock Solutions provide expert advice on drainage from simply producing accurate drainage plans to identifying and resolving other drainage issues.

Penstock Solutions will work with you to assess your business exposure to causing water pollution and provide specialist advice before designing, developing and installing a compliant facility and process to meet your needs and budget.

Our 3 Step Water Pollution Prevention Process. Map – Blok – Monitor

Sandfield Penstock Solutions have developed a simple 3 step process to effectively understand and manage your water pollution risk.

Map – Understanding the pathways that pollution will take in leaving your site – Spill Mapping.

Spill Mapping is a more scientific service developed by Sandfield Penstock Solutions to take the assumption out of your Water Pollution Risk Assessment. Spill Mapping includes topographical and drainage models of your site and provides you with an animation what will happen if you were to suffer a spill, fire or flood on your site.

Pollution Risk Assessment - Spill Mapping

Blok – Automatically and immediately isolating drainage pathways – The ToggleBlok Valve.

In the event of a pollution event it is imperative that you are able to stop the flow of pollutant materials from your site to the environment immediately. ToggleBlok is a dedicated water pollution containment device which is solar powered, connected to the GSM network for remote and automated activation and modular in design to fit into existing drainage systems and infrastructure.

Monitor – Notifying you of the status of your containment system, activations, servicing and faults.

If you are to find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to defend your water pollution containment systems to The Environment Agency or The Courts your only defence will be to provide documented evidence that your processes were appropriate to the risk and functioning at the time of the pollution event. Our ToggleBlok Valves and Systems provide automated reporting including if the device is functioning, if it has been activated or deactivated and if it requires maintenance, all of the information you may need to rely on in the event of a pollution event.

The ToggleBlok System, Map – Blok – Monitor- is based on our understanding and experience of CIRIA c736. Our Technical Director, David Cole, was an expert on the panel that produced the industry guidance CIRIA c736: Containment Systems for the Prevention of Pollution.

CIRIA c736 is the essential guidance for businesses looking to manage their risk of potential pollution release into surface water runoff from a spill, fire or flood. Sandfield Penstock Solutions work with Environmental Engineers, HSE’s, Site Managers, Facilities Managers, Site and Drainage Designers and Business Owners with Industrial Sites to identify, manage and monitor this serious risk.

Sandfield Penstock Solutions have successfully implemented compliant water pollution prevention solutions for leading manufacturers, retailers, industrial, distributors and road management companies saving them hundreds of thousands of pounds by avoiding the need to install disruptive and costly bunds.

Sandfield Penstock Solutions work with your business to assess your exposure to causing water pollution and provide specialist advice before designing, developing and implementing a compliant facility and process to meet your needs and budget.

If spill containment and CIRIA c736 compliance is currently a consideration for you please do not hesitate to call 01299 823158 or email us, we will be very happy to discuss our solutions with you.
