EA statement on pollution

With Brexit and uncertainty, the first thing that industry cuts is investment in operations that are not considered essential. Add in significant cuts made by the UK government to the Environment agencies budget and we end up with an increase in pollutions. Without a robust regulator industry will not be policed. It’s quite foolish to think industry will self-regulate and protect the environment you don’t have to look far to see how VW chose to avoid compliance to environmental standards in its emission testing. UK regulator can merely highlight concern and react after an event. We still have some great clients who really do want to do the right thing, we just need everyone to take the same approach to the environment.
